What is Yoga?
Yoga is a mindful approach that combines movement, breathing, and meditation. Its practice originates from India and the word derives from a Sanskrit word meaning to join and bond. Yoga helps bring union between the mind, body and soul.

What is Pilates?
Pilates is a mind-body exercise developed by Joseph Pilates. He was the son of a gymnast and naturopath.
Pilates is a combination of Western and Eastern health concepts. Joseph researched and practiced classical Roman and Greek exercise regimes, and Asian disciplines such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Martial Arts and Zen meditation.
Why Pilates?
Originally referred to as Contrology, the practice of Pilates has many long-term benefits including improved balance, flexibility and muscle conditioning.

Sylvia Garcia is a dedicated yoga practioner with over twenty years of experience. She is a specialist in Acroyoga, amongst other Yoga disciplines, and is a certified Pilates instructor.
She provides one to one private teaching, group sessions and runs yoga retreats abroad.
